Where Can I Use My DAU Card?
Your DAU Card is a Visa-supported payment card, meaning it is accepted at millions of merchants worldwide in over 200 countries, both online and in-store. However, acceptance may vary based on merchant policies, region-specific restrictions, or card type limitations.
1. Merchant Acceptance Policies
Although Visa is widely accepted, individual merchants set their own payment rules. This means:
Some merchants may not accept Visa cards at all or only accept certain types (e.g., credit, debit, or prepaid, virtual, or physical).
Certain businesses impose region-based restrictions or merchant-specific policies, such as:
o Streaming services (e.g., Netflix, Hulu): May require the card’s issuing country to match the user’s account region.
o Travel booking platforms (e.g., airlines, hotels): May only accept cards issued from specific countries due to fraud prevention measures.
o Online gaming or cryptocurrency platforms: Some restrict Visa prepaid cards due to security concerns.
2. Restricted or Prohibited Transactions
As part of regulatory compliance and issuer policies, some transactions are not supported:
Illegal or controlled substances (e.g., drug-related purchases)
Adult content, pornography, escort services
Gambling and betting platforms (unless permitted by the issuer and region)
Firearms, weapons, and restricted goods
High-risk merchants flagged by Visa/Mastercard networks (e.g., crypto purchases)
If you are unsure whether your DAU Card will be accepted, we recommend checking Visa-accepting merchants or contacting the merchant directly before making a purchase.
